Our Story
For the moments you don't want to forget
Dear Forever began with one simple wish — to stop throwing away the most meaningful words we write.
I kept every card my family ever gave me, but they sat in boxes, forgotten. I wanted a way to keep the sentiment, not the clutter.
I thought - 'Why couldn't we keep the good stuff, but get rid of the rest?'
So I created a journal that could hold every heartfelt message, every doodle, every memory — all in one place.
Something sustainable, personal, and made to last a lifetime. Because love deserves better than in a box under the bed or in the recycling bin.
Dear Forever helps people turn fleeting moments into lasting memories — with keepsake card journals made to be written in, cherished, and kept forever.
How to use your Card Journal
1️⃣ Keep it close.
Store your Card Journal somewhere easy to find — a bookshelf, bedside drawer, or memory box. It’s designed to stay within the household so you can bring it out each year when it’s time to celebrate.
2️⃣ The annual ritual.
Each year, open to a new double page.
Left page = your handwritten message.
Right page = a photo (or doodle), and three written prompts to reflect on the past year.
3️⃣ Add your unique touch.
Use coloured pens, Polaroids, ticket stubs, or a pressed flower — make it as simple or sentimental as you like.
4️⃣ One person or many.
Some families write together, others take turns. You can add notes from children, friends, partners — whoever makes up that chapter of your story.
5️⃣ Revisit, reflect, relive.
Each year when you add a new message, take a few minutes to read the past ones. You’ll see how far you’ve come and how love evolves with time.
Founder's Story
The first ever Card Journal
"The first ever prototype card journal was made for my partner, for Father's Day, from our son who was 4 months old at the time. It was in a sketch pad with nice thick pages so the watercolour pens and Sharpie wouldn't bleed through to the other side. We added some cute photos of the two of them, cute stickers and some fond memories."
"This sparked the idea for different editions of the card journal that I wanted to create for my own family - An anniversary version as a wedding present for my brother and sister-in-law; a Mothers Day version for Nana; a birthday version for our little boy - the possibilities are endless with a card journal. Card Journals are my passion project and I'm so excited to look back in years to come on the family traditions we have started, and on all the memories our journals are filled with"
